What do you imagine when you think about learning?

  » Having to study at times that are inconvenient and don’t fit in with all the other commitments in your busy life.
  » Not being able to discuss my thoughts with fellow students during classes.
  » Distractions from other students who nonetheless are sharing opinions aloud.
  » Being forced along at a pace that doesn't suit me.

  » Having to fit in my teaching commitment with all my other activities, both work and social, and being constrained by the teaching timetable.

  » Classroom control and the difficulty of encouraging discussion (students who are afraid of asking "silly" questions) but sticking to the teaching programme.
  » The cost and inconvenience of travelling to the classroom.
  » Having to cater for the need of the whole class.
  » Being unable to offer support to the more able / less able students.
